March is an important month for Consumers around the world.
On the 14 th of March, Consumer Classroom celebrates its second birthday. During these two years, Consumer Classroom has brought together a community of 23 000 registered users, including 15 000 teachers, who have created more than 1700 lessons thanks to its online tools.
Once again, this year, Consumer Classroom organises its Inter-School Competition , allowing students to take part in an exciting learning experience.
This year, participants will be asked to work on digital contents and show their creativity and knowledge of the subject to win a trip to Brussels.
The 15 th of March is the World Consumer Rights Day . This year the theme chosen is related to the consumers’ right to satisfaction of basic needs.
The theme Healthy Diets conveys the message that consumers do not only have the right for food but must also have access to food that is good for their health.
The 16 th of March is the European Consumer Day. For its 17 th edition, the European Consumer Day will focus on the New trends in consumption .
Can responsible consumption become a reality or is it only a mirage? Is the society ready for the sharing economy? What challenges do the new trends bring? These questions will be discussed in Brussels, with the participation of the Commissioner for Justice, Consumers and Gender Equality, Vĕra Jourová.
