The European Get Online Week (GOW) takes place this year March 14 to 20 2016 and aims to encourage Europeans to use the Internet and technology safely and with confidence in their own abilities. Opportunity to be taken absolutely to improve their digital skills and job opportunities.
The Get Online Week focus is in the key role of non-formal education and its ability to help young people acquire modern digital skills or to make the first work experience.
Even today, not all are in step with the digital knowledge: one third of the European workforce has little or no expertise in this field and yet, according to the Digital Agenda for Europe, in the near future 90% of jobs in the area technical, administrative and accounting, nursing and medical as well as in art, architecture, and in many other areas, will require digital skills.
The Get Online Week 2016 takes place at thousands of libraries, civic centers, schools and non-profit organizations, with activities for young people and the unemployed.
