Indoor and Outdoor air at school
When we think about well-being we usually refer to outdoor activities, but also the indoor environment like house and school is very important for our health, as this is where we spend so much of our time. The indoor environment is a complex microcosm that depends on many variables such as noise, temperature and air quality, and may contain various health hazards.
The Air Pack
provides resources for teaching children about indoor air quality in schools. It targets children and teachers in schools in order to raise awareness of the problem of (outdoor and indoor) air quality and health issues in schools. It is designed to motivate users towards a healthy school environment and sustainable lifestyle. It focuses on indoor and outdoor sources of pollution, and on perceptions of comfort in the classroom.
The Air Pack is a toolkit for schools prepared as part of the SEARCH project
- “School Environment and Respiratory Health of Children” within the international frameworks of the EU Action Plan on Environment and Health.
