International Conference for Sustainable Development. Rome (Italy)
From 12 to 13 September 2018 it will take place the International Conference on Sustainable Development (ICSD 2018) which is organized by the European Center of Sustainable Development in collaboration with CIT University.
The 6th edition of the ICSD is inspired from the critical challenge of human, environmental, and economic sustainability concerning the present and future generations in a global-scale context: "Creating a unified foundation for the Sustainable Development: research, practice and education" will be the Conference theme.
According to the organizers, "this theme emphasizes the strong foundation that is provided by using research to inform our everyday practices, policies, and analytical approaches". The 2018 Conference will once again provide a forum for the sharing of ideas, presentation of research findings, and discussion of professional issues relevant to Sustainability Science.
The Consumer Classroom team will be part of this discussion as plenary presenter on the theme Socio-Cultural Sustainability, more specifically with the sub-theme "Sustainable Education". The presentation "Consumer Classroom: Digital innovation and collaborative tool for education to sustainable consumption" will explore the role of this kind of digital tools to encourage Education for Sustainable Consumption showing a concrete example to the question on how digital technology could support education to sustainable consumption adapting to changing needs.
