Inter-school Competition 2018

The Ultimate School Trip
Create a video guide about the ultimate European school trip with your class and teach your students all about budget planning.

Nowadays teenagers may have to deal with money for different reasons: mobile phone rates, food and transport when going to school, expenses for study or for leisure. But how do young people really plan to spend or save their money?

Organising a school trip would be an excellent way for young people to get familiar with budget planning and understanding the value of money. For this edition of the Consumer Classroom Inter-school competition, we invite teachers and students to develop a video guide for organising a school trip abroad on a cost effective budget. This video guide should provide a set of best practices for planning the budget and suggesting the best options in terms of price and sustainability when booking a school trip, focusing on the different aspects that this activity may involve.

Do you want to win an equipment for your school? This year, the Inter-School Competition will award the 10 shortlisted projects:
- The 1st place winning Project will be awarded with school equipment valued up to 6,000 EUR to be shared equally between the 2 winning schools (3,000 EUR per school);
- The 2nd place winning project will be awarded with school equipment valued up to 4,000 EUR to be shared equally  between the 2 winning schools (2,000 EUR per school);
- From the 3rd to the 10th shortlisted projects will be awarded with school equipment valued up to 1,000 EUR per school.
