The Energy Resource Kit is designed to help students and teachers with projects based on the theme of Energy and provides all the information needed to participate in the Inter-School Competition 2016-2017. En houden ze hun budget goed in de gaten? The energy revolution is an offline simulation game where the students are divided into 4 teams. The teacher is the stage-manager. With this game students are trained in systems thinking. The game can be a used in several topics, including science, Dutch and political science. the simulation takes about 45 minutes, and discussion afterwards about an hour. // De energie revolutie is een offline simulatiespel waarbij de klas speelt in 4 teams. De docent is spelleider. Het spel stimuleert het systeemdenken bij leerlingen en is ontwikkeld voor VMBO en HAVO / VWO. Het sluit o.a. aan bij de vakken maatschappijleer, economie, aardrijkskunde, natuurkunde, biologie en Nederlands. De benodigde lestijd is 45 minuten om het spel te spelen en 60 minuten voor de voor- en nabespreking en acties.

Maybe the solution to sustain our energy production is closer than we think. When mixing fresh water with sea water a lot of energy forms, that is not used at the moment. This Blue Energy has big potential for the future. In this module the underlying principles of Blue Energy are explored. Designing an installation for blue energy and the impact on water management, spacial planning and water quality are topics in the material. // Misschien is de oplossing voor het milieuvriendelijk opwekken van energie wel dichter bij dan we denken. Bij het mengen van zoet rivierwater en zout zeewater komt evenveel energie vrij als bij een stuwdam van 200 meter hoog. Bij de spuisluizen in de Afsluitdijk waar IJsselwater in de Waddenzee stroomt, wordt zonder dat we er bij stil staan een hoop energie niet benut. Blue Energy – zoals we deze energievorm noemen - heeft een geweldige potentie. In deze module ga je naar de onderliggende principes van Blue Energy kijken, belangrijke factoren die de energiewinning beïnvloeden, het ontwerp van de installatie, het effect van opschalen, de keuze van de optimale geografische locatie en de integratie en wisselwerking van waterbeheer, ruimtelijke ordening en waterkwaliteit. The module Blue Energy is a educational toolkit for Pre-University students with a Nature-profile and has all sorts of practical and theoretical lesson-suggetions. The module will take 40 hours and includes the making of a posterpresentation and a knowledgetest. // De module BLUE ENERY is geschreven voor leerlingen van VWO 5/6 met een NG of NT profiel en heeft een studielast van 40 studielasturen. Bij het leerlingen en het docentenmateriaal kan ook een toolkit worden geleend, met mebrane en andere practicummaterialen. De leerling-activiteiten zijn zeer gevarieerd. Deze activiteiten komen o.a. aan bod:Beantwoorden van vragen en opdrachten, zelf onderzoeken, experimenteel onderzoek (practica), specialisaties,  PowerPoint presentatie, de klasgenoten informeren en overtuigen, discussiëren. De module bestaat uit 4 onderdelen: Een theoretisch gedeelte waarin de werking van Blue Energy wordt uitgelegd.; een specialisatie met onderzoek en ontwerp van een installatie; Presentatie en een Eindtoets.
